You give and get a whole bunch of health advices every day, when you’re one of the experts on The Doctors, Andrew Ordon, Travis Stork, Jim Sears, Jennifer Ashton, Jennifer Berman, Rachael Ross, and. These are the tips the doctors themselves follow – daily. (Hint: none involve an apple.)
1. Calm your mind.
You should begin and end each day with a gratitude list and wind down with a meditation. Search You Tube and select whatever your need is that day: health, relaxation or love. It will change your life! Go to sleep with a quiet mind and calm stomach and wake up happy. – Jennifer Berman, MD
2. Make an oil change.
You will notice a huge improvement in your skin when you start exfoliating nightly, then applying either a coconut oil or retinol cream as a moisturizer. Exfoliating allows the next product to penetrate deeply, and alternating the powerful anti – ager retinol with natural coconut oil is like a one – two punch for skin. – Jennifer Ashton, MD
3. Bolster immunity.
You can use one or two squirts of saline nasal spray every night and morning – it immediately washes away allergens, congestion and other irritants, and moisturizes nasal passages. Moist nasal membranes also act as an extraprotective barrier when a virus tries to invade. – Travis Stork, MD
4. Trick a sweet tooth.
If you have a sweet tooth, you should create a healthy daily dessert: Take a slice of toasted whole grain bread, slather it with 1 tablespoon of almond butter, and top with blackberries, sliced banana, ground flaxseed and a drizzle of melted dark chocolate. It satisfies cravings while providing protein, potassium, omega – 3 fatty acids, fiber, and tons of antioxidants. – Rachael Ross, MD
5. Drop and give 100.
A hundred push – ups! If it sounds like a lot, you can break it up into 20 reps 5 times a day. Do them on your knees, if you’re not used to push – ups, or start with 2, 3, or 5 and add one each week. – Jim Sears, MD
6. Drink lemon – aid
Start your day every morning with a glass of freshly squeezed lemon with cool water. It will hydrate you, boost the immune system, give you the dose of vitamin C, and has fat – burning benefits. And when skin is hydrated, wrinkles are fine lines and less obvious. You feel better, You look better. – Andrew P. Ordon, MD
